Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Personnel & Culture is to efficiently and effectively recruit, employ, develop, retain, and serve a high-quality and diverse labor force whose members consistently demonstrate their belief in and commitment to the District's vision of empowering and inspiring all learners.

Department Overview
The Office of Personnel & Culture is responsible for recruiting, screening, and hiring all district employees. Among the many programs the department supervises are employee orientation, benefits such as health insurance, employee recognition, retirement, teacher certification, employee evaluation, and fingerprinting. Crete-Monee School District 201-U employs approximately 700 people. There are approximately 400 certified staff and 300 support staff.

The department is also responsible for the maintenance of official personnel records, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, worker's compensation, unemployment compensation, wage and salary computation, employment of substitute employees, and working with other departments to provide professional development for all employee groups.
