2nd Grade Project #hashtaglunchbag

2nd Grade students made lunches for people who live in a home in University Park. The people have and are experiencing poverty. Some are disabled, too. The second graders raised the money to make lunches by raffling off a suspension bridge in the fall. The students wrote encouraging notes and put the notes in the lunch bags. This project was done after a reading unit on poverty and homeless. Monee Elementary is proud to see students helping out in a local community. Click here to view pictures!
